Inside the Flask: An Overview of All the Content

Posted in Inside the Flask by Starym at Monday, December 6, 2010, 20:04

This is a summary article covering all the original content available on Manaflask.

We have many features here at Manaflask, mostly surrounding the guild members and their perspective on things, but there are also many opportunities for the community to voice their opinions and views. Let's start, shall we:

Sometimes a larger discussion of the facts is needed, to go beyond the superficial and the obvious. Raiding Philosophy does just that, with people from the top guilds along with veterans that stopped playing talking about the more theoretical and philosophical concepts of rading. It's a more heady and thoughtful type of feature but it delves deep into everything about raids and raiders, what makes them tick and why certain things work the way they do.

Talking Class if all about one thing, and you'll never guess what! Ensidia members get together with top players from other guids and discuss their class in-depth. From the current situation, to what can and should be changed, and looking back into the past to remember the best and worsr of times. If you ever wanted to know everything the top players think about their class, this is the place to do find out.

The Raiding Pinnacle is a series of articles and interviews with top guilds that cover all the current topics about WoW rading, progression, bosses, and basically everything else relating to high-end PvE.

He's back. Sharing his unique perspective on things, this old- schooler with an insane amount of World First kills under his belt has quite a bit of experience and, shall we say attitude. Talking about all the relevant issues for top end raiding and quite a bit of old-school stories and features, it's the perfect mix of old and new.

A weekly review of Ensidia's raid schenanigans, Mancy infuses it with his own take on things and covers a specific topic along with the happenings of the previous week. Often controversial, and always putting some of the guildies down, no one really likes him. Or do we?

The old Ensidia feature is still alive and kicking, with many interviews with trials (and a few with members as well) covering the usual WoW-related and WoW-adjacent stuff.

Just as there are two sides to a coin, Manaflask also has two sides, and this feature focuses on getting to know our friends at For the Horde better. It's a series of interviews with the guildmembers covering all the usual WoW topics.

"The new guy Pala", Xiety, talks about his experiences after finally getting incited to join Ensidia after admiring them for a long time. This is the perfect companion piece to Mancy's Ensidia, since it shows you what these WoW pros act like before they become "all that".

With all the long-winded interviews around we thought we could give you an easier and faster way to get to know the Ensidia and For the Horde guys, to see who exactly shares your views and opinions and who is just flat out wrong. So we came up with a 1-question format where a lot of people answer the same one and then you can pick who's right and wrong for yourself!

Since the site launch we've built up a very solid community base, and we decided to strengthen that base and introduce those members in detail. A very recent feature, Asking the Community is basically an interview with random community members that helps people get to know eachother better and get a good perspective on eachothers' opinions.

The guides already get a lot of attention everywhere on the site (and off), so let's just mention that there are many, many of them and they cover everything from class specs, gear, leveling, raiding, boss strategies, to how to clean your washing machine. Just use the filtering system (on the guide page, not your washing machine) to find the ones you need and enjoy the competitive edge they give you.

We also have our own Youtube channel, where we keep all the pretty videos the guilds make. Here's a few samples:

One of the most popular features of the site, the streams allow you to look in on both Ensidia and For the Horde as they raid high-end content. You can laugh at their mistakes and maybe even learn from them, there's almost always a stream up and waiting. Some of them are saved as VODs and with Cataclysm coming we'll have more and more VODs available for you, so check the own3dTV Manaflask channel.

That's about it, we hope you enjoy the site and it's contents and stay with us.
