Ensidia Recruiting for Firelands

Posted in by Kungen at Wednesday, September 1, 2010, 14:30

Recruitment is open again.

We're looking for a few exceptional players for the upcoming content. As always we will push for the number one spot. However, this time our recruitment will be a bit different. Since the only way to be number one these days is to have completely no life and be able to basically raid day and night during progress so that's the kind of player we are looking for. What we want from you is a person who is willing to take days off their work and school during progress to basically be available at all times, a person who is willing to give everything they got for World First progression for a few weeks when the next progression cycle begins. I might be exaggerating a little, but hopefully people that apply get the point.

The classes we are looking for are Unholy/Frost Death Knights, Holy/Ret/Prot Paladins, Resto/Enhance/Elemental Shamans, Boomkins, Warlocks and Shadow Priests.

ALL             ALL           Boom       Shadow         ALL            ALL

Like always we will recruit any class/spec if you are something out of the ordinary, so don't be shy to apply if you think you are an extremely good player with great playtimes.

PS: We're not looking for people in 50% heroic gear and normal gear, don't even bother applying if you are one of those people. What we are looking for is well geared and experienced raiders who have cleared most of the latest content on Hard mode.

What we want from you:

  1. Total dedication to the guild and raiding
  2. Though we don’t raid that much while farming, progress raid times are extensive and you must be available to attend all of these raids. Farming raid times are roughly 18:30 till 23:00. During progress you can expect to raid at any hour of the day. We realise this limits the amount of applicants, but it's essential that you’ll be able to free up time for these progress raids that could run for weeks at a time.
  3. General whining is not tolerated at all. If your main focus is loot or you can’t handle sitting out of raids sometimes, then this is not the right guild for you. Sometimes certain compositions will be better and you simply won’t get a spot. We expect you to play for the guild and its progress above all else.
  4. Complete knowledge of your class, how to gear and spec it. This means being able to adapt to new situations and goes beyond just reading theorycrafting and knowing what the right gems are. It's something that we expect people to have put a lot of thought into so their character can be the best it can be.
  5. Top-notch raid performance goes without saying. This means you must be experienced in high-end raid content and able to play your class to perfection. People who repeatedly die to the same mistakes and perform sub-par compared to the rest of the guild will not last very long.
  6. Have a competitive nature both on a guild vs. guild level and an internal level. You will have to earn your raid spot and show that you are the best person for the job. You must be confident in what you are doing and want to show that you can do it better than anyone else.
  7. Generally have a friendly attitude towards your guild mates. The flipside of this is that you must be able to take a certain level of abuse and jokes from your peers. If you can't take a few jokes at your expense this might not be the place for you.
  8. You must be able to take sometimes extremely harsh criticism and improve from it. You will make mistakes, everyone does. It's important that you will learn from them, not make them again and respect the criticism you take.
  9. You must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. You must also have a microphone and Ventrilo and not be afraid to use it when required.
  10. Be over 18 years of age, there have been some exceptions to this, but don't even consider it if you are under 17.

What you get from us:
  1. A guild with a highly competitive nature that has many players who have competed at the highest level of this game for almost 5 years.
  2. Our main goal is to get World First kills and to always remain as competitive as we can be.
  3. We have a very strong community within the guild. A friendly but jokey atmosphere that is great fun to be part of once you get used to it. We also have a great community here on the website and would like all new recruits to take an active role in that.
  4. In the future you may get the opportunity to attend events and perform at live raids, as well as various other perks that you won't find in any other guild.
  5. In this game of 12 million players, we are offering you the opportunity to compete at the highest level. From our perspective, that's the best you can strive for.

The Guild structure is broken down into 3 tiers. There are 2 Guild Masters Kungen and Mackzter. There is then a class leader for each class who you will have the most direct contact with regarding your role in raids usually. After that it is the raiding core of players. This is a system that has worked for us over a long period of time and serves us well.

We decide all loot with a loot council system. There is no DKP and we have no attendance system since 100% attendance is expected of everyone. You will get great gear playing in this guild just by default, it should not be your primary focus. We take the point of view that loot is a tool -not a reward- and therefore it is given out according to how it best benefits the guild. This means factors such as who gets the biggest upgrade, what class an item is the best for, player performance, how many top-end hardmode items people have looted and what we need to kill the next boss.

We are looking to expand our roster with just great, hardcore players more than anything else. Do not be put off from applying because you feel we have a certain amount of a specific class. Spots are performance based and if you can show that you are better, then every spot is there for the taking. A lot of our best recruits don't come from well known guilds, but the absolute best players in less well known guilds who want more from the game.

Please include the following information in all applications:
  1. Your character name.
  2. Where you are from / live.
  3. Your age.
  4. A link to your armory <- Do not forget this at all costs, apps without this will be instantly thrown away.
  5. Links to any WWS/World of Logs/WowMeterOnline etc. that you have for yourself.
  6. A Screenshot of your user interface, ideally in a raid environment.
  7. An explanation of how you approach your char and what you feel is important to focus on.
  8. A history of your experience and previous guilds.
  9. Any references you wish to cite.
  10. Connection/Computer info, a stable computer and connection are absolutely essential so do not apply without both of these things.
  11. Contact info, msn/mIRC etc

Applications should be e-mailed to apply[at]ensidia.com. This is a mailbox that all Officers and Class Leaders have access to and your apps absolutely will be read. Since recruitment has been closed for some time some applications may have been sent and not read. We encourage you to re-apply if you think that might have been the case for your past app. Obviously since faction changing is now available we can accept all European applicants from any realm or faction. As a side note, all applications will be kept private, in case you wish to apply without risking your current guild position.

Finally one important aspect about these applications. Do not login and start spamming people ingame or on IRC about your application, this will only annoy them and make your recruitment less likely. If you have not heard anything back on your e-mail within 1 week, you can assume that your application has been denied. I cannot stress this enough about your applications, people who harass will instantly get their applications thrown away.

Best of Luck from Ensidia.

Ofc not, but when you're in a stance like that any mistake you make undermines it. Hence the humor. But since you get insulted by random (and well intentioned I might add) mocking I'll just apologize and move on. Ok I'm totally kidding, if you get insulted by stuff like this you may not want to leave your house. Ever.

@Mancy I'm sorry but I just love typos/bad grammar when someone is trying to act all superior (happens to me ALL the time). Couldn't help myself!

Run: Yeah, but then again you don't get to run both 10 and 25 mans in Cataclysm because of the shared lockouts. I agree with you though, clearing your calendar for a couple of weeks isn't too easy for everyone to do.
